A gorgeous hotel and a must stay

The location of the hotel and the room itself, it was so comfortable!

We didn’t manage to have breakfast there as it was always fully booked, would be good if the hotel could accommodate all guests for breakfast

Good value, good location. But I probably will not stay here again if I drive.

Good location.

It has no parking! They do not even have a car porch for you to off load your luggage from the car. The front door is by the main road, and there is no space for you to stop. Had to park in a public carpark, which is about 2-3 mins walk, no big deal but walking in the rain during winter is no fun.

A lot of pluses to this hotel, but the biggest plus is the Staff!

UAN Kanazawa is currently my favorite place to stay while in Kanazawa. I’m a frequent traveler to Kanazawa and have stayed at a well known old traditional style onsen ryokan and a reasonably priced chain hotel. I will always prefer the UAN Kanazawa for the following reasons: 1. The UAN Kanazawa is very convenient to many of the major sightseeing places, shops, convenience stores, and restaurants, especially if you like walking to explore. 2. This hotel is a modern take on the traditional ryokan. Very comfortable, very clean, and well designed. While there isn’t an onsen, there is a very deep modern bath tub to soak away your tiredness from walking. 3. I did notice a slight drop in meal quality pre-covid and now, but the Japanese and western breakfasts are still a must for us. The breakfasts are very filling and tasteful. The lobby area also has a small bar, free amenities like tea, coffee, and juices, and free soba in the late evening. 4. There is a free washing machine service as well on the first floor. Free fitness center as well. All very clean. 5. I can’t speak enough about the Staff. In all of the stays there, the Staff has been exceptional. Very pleasant to talk to. Always smiling and accommodating with inquiries and requests. They go out of their way to help and if they are too busy, they will take the time to follow up with you. This hotel Staff has been the most exceptional in all of my travels and stays in Japan these past years.

I really can’t think of anything that I didn’t like.

Quiet, clean, good location

Location was great - right next to the Kanazawa Castle, very close to a market, and the gardens were a short walk on the other side of the castle. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Free ramen from 9-11 pm was a great perk! Delicious breakfast (extra price), but all day free access to juices, teas, coffees. We loved it.

Would highly recommend if staying in Kanazawa.

Modern hotel with all the personal touches of a ryokan eg loungewear provided for indoor use and Japanese/Western breakfast offered, therefore the best of both worlds. Extra touches including 24-hour access to non alcoholic drinks eg coffee/tea/juices. Free noodles offered between 9-11pm in beautiful lounge/bar area where we had a trio of sake tasting. Accommodation was large with fantastic wet room with jacuzzi bath which was very welcome after a long day. Very modern and clean facilities eg dyson hairdryer. Last but certainly not least, the staff were very welcoming and always greeted us with a smile.

Nothing. We were pleasantly surprised at what the hotel had to offer.

Perfectly located, chic boutique hotel with good amenities and ambience

Excellent welcome. Very inviting reception and dining area, with interesting art, and freely available coffee, tea and juice. Laundry good.

Excellent hotel that I hope to go back to !

The UAN is an excellent hotel with a great location close to the garden and market etc. The hotel has unique art and facilities like a late night soba session which was much appreciated.

The room could have had a bit more art/Japanese character.

Exceptional

The room was well designed and very comfortable. Staff had set up a humidifier as it was quite dry during our visit - it was nice that they did this without having to ask to borrow one. There were many types of drinks always available in the lobby (hot and cold teas, juices, coffee) and the evening soba noodles were great!

Elegant hotel, wonderful and attentive staff

Wonderful hotel, the staff is extremely attentive and this was the best room we stayed at during our trip so far. The bathroom is Japanese style and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Comfy bed and very elegant hotel overall.

The sun woke us up extremely early as the curtain isn’t the black out kind, but probably because our room was facing east.
